But there are a number of companies coming up with software designed to run on top of Windows which makes the experience of using the operating system manageable. Mirabyte, which is developing a UI called FrontFace for Windows tablets. FrontFace offers you large icons to close an application or perform other actions. The software also includes a number of original apps designed for touch input including a media player, YouTubeapp, and some games. There are also start page widgets for items including news, weather, and calendar appointments. The UI isn't done, far from it and we think if they want to charge 20 Euros for it they need to put in a few more development hours getting all the glitches out. Dass du den Benefit von Frontface nicht siehst ist mir klar, weil du dir echt die falsche frage stellst! Wer kauft sich ein Tablet mit Windows? Doch niemand, der auf Apps steht! Der holt sich Ipad oder Android-tablets. Wer sich für Windows entscheidet will seine normalen Programme benutzen und Dokumente öffnen, aber über eine Touch-freundliche Oberfläche. Also drück bitte mal die Windows-Taste und am besten mit angeschalteter Kamera und ab auf Youtube damit. Danke :-)
Du bist ehrlich, aber mehr als die 10 Minuten in dem Video hast du Frontface offensichtlich auch nicht benutzt!!! 1. Wenn du von der Windows UI in die Frontface UI zurück willst musst du nur rechts oben auf den Monitor klicken, da poppt dann ein Tab auf und du kannst dich wieder ins Frontface klicken. 2. Die WICHTIGSTE! Taste hast du überhaupt nicht gezeigt, nämlich die Windows-taste. (Da wo die Apps sind) Öffne mal bitte aus ExoPC UI deine Dokumente!? oder eins deiner Windowsprogramme!?
What these companies need to start doing is writing more touch friendly applications and not trying to make the OS itself more touch friendl. Launching applications from the Windows desktop works just fine. Plus you got to think that Microsoft will make their own advancements with Windows, which will make all these 3rd party UI's useless in the long run. minipcpro, start calling these developers out instead of encouraging them to build iPad like interfaces on our Windows Machines.
i wouldn't want a Windows Tablet unless Microsoft Created a Tablet version of windows 7 because the lag with the current windows 7 tablets is too bad for me to be happy with one.
