Theje reviews the Alienware M11x gaming netbook. The only detail left out of the review would be about the speakers, which are very good quality for even notebook speakers with a clear, pronounced volume and good stereo range. Alienware M11x Specifications: -Intel Pentium Dual Core SU4100 @ 1.6 Ghz w/ 2 MB L2 cache (can't call it a "Core 2" without an extra MB of cache... kinda lame) -nVidia 335M GT, 1 GB GDDR3 VRAM -4 GB DDR3 1333 RAM -160 GB 5400 SATA HDD -12" 1366x768 display The song playing during the gaming footage is "The Fallen Man" by Joel Michael, which will be available on iTunes, eMusic, Rhapsody and AmazonMP3 starting in April. The song is used with permission from the composer. Thanks for watching!

@ZePwner350 The footage in this video is on medium, so anything above that will be mostly unplayable.
How well does the base model run Max Crysis?
@daalman If I was going to get an external hard drive today, there's a Western Digital Elements SE drive on sale right now on the Egg for $100. 2.5", 1 TB, good rating. Only USB 2.0, but I don't think you'll be missing out on anything there anyway.
@Theje Thanks. I just ordered a refurb and found a coupon code for an additional 15% off. Very happy. Any recommendations for an external drive?
@daalman You can change the lights to be whatever color you want.
I am planning on getting a refurb from Dell outlet, since they are a total steal in price, but am not sure what colors come with what. They have the lunar shadow, black, and mars black available at any given time. Does each one have a different light scheme? Thx.
@FirstGenerationGames If you're looking for something mobile, go for the Alienware M15x or a comparable laptop with at least a 2.4 GHz Core i5 or i7 processor. Remember the i7 in the M11x is the CULV version which sports a lower clock and less cache.
@Theje What would you suggest along with specs
@FirstGenerationGames I suppose it's possible, but it'll take a lot of patience. If you don't already have a powerhouse machine to video edit with already, I'd get one of those instead.
Would I be able to edit videos in sony vegas with this? If I have the i7 processor attached to it
@Theje ok thank you for clarifying i did not know that i thought you were makeing a little joke there but i pray i get the money for the 2k version of the m15x so ican get rid of my crappy toshiba satilight good reivew though
@tonysixwing Um, no. I'm sorry but that is grossly inaccurate. That was a program that a friend of mine built specifically for me. I don't know exactly how it works, but he said something about interdimensional subspace communication. He built the program to only run in Windows Media Player, and only with the M11x. So ha!
you didnt get an interactive dummie you made a video and then timed what you say to te video on media player
@Animeaz add me on steam SavageCrafter
@Theje ok thanks :) thumbs up
@TheGrassyNol The processor is OC'd by default in the BIOS, and the only way that OCing takes more power is when you increase the voltage. Since the Core 2 Duo series, all dual-core Intel CPUs have been very accepting of higher speeds without a voltage increase, especially if the OC is as small as two or three hundred MHz.
do you keep the processor overclocked all the time? and does it make any significant difference with battery life and performance whether it is overclocked or not?
I love my mx11 its great for my accounts,business essays,graphics work(even though i hate graphics at collage). I like new and old games like fallout 1 and 2, left 4 dead,garrys mod etc i find it full of win better than a macbook air!
@Theje ok thank you
@MegaDeathwarrant Nope, all of your hardware has to be compatible with 3D visuals in order for it to work, including your GPU, monitor, and the game itself. If one of these falls short on the qualifications, 3D doesn't happen. The new Alienware M17x R3 notebook is the only Alienware notebook that does 3D so far.
@Theje will it work if I get a 3d monitor?
@MegaDeathwarrant No, sorry but the 335m GPU doesn't have 3D support.
is it 3d compatible?
@Theje Oh...well that's fair i guess :) Can't wait to play RE5 online!
@sonickun95 Yes, Windows Live is required, but only XBox Live charges an annual fee, Windows Live does not.
