Hey guys, i just found out a way. I found on samsung website (singapore) i download samsung NPS (new pc studio) and install it. After i installed, i connect my phone to the NPS and pressed connect to samsung kies on my phone then my phone connected to the NPS. The NPS is also kind of samsung kies.
My problem is when i connect my galaxy s to my laptop, i open the kies and it says connecting the device, please wait. I wait so long and nothing happen. it keep 'connecting the device, please wait' ....
This problem is caused by files which have extensions longer than 16 characters, ie. more that 16 char after the dot. To find such files I mounted the phone as a USB mass storage and used Windows Explorer to search the phone for *.????????????????*
korean quality...
Worked to format the internal SD card! Thank you! :)
i have the same problem
@ArnieTube i have the same problem..did you resolved your problem..'cus i want to resolve mine too:)) it's verrrrrrryyy anooying
@ArnieTube @ArnieTube Oh. Cause I managed to get mine connected after I got the flashing screen to disappear. I read somewhere that the flashing screen was a problem due to long file names (more than 16 characters) be it in the internal SD or the external SD. I realized then that my default video file names were extremely long what with the date and time being put in the file name. What I did was formatted my internal SD from the phone just to get rid of all those files in one shot.
@azhans not really... The flashing screen got away but im still facing horrible connecting issues with Kies
@ArnieTube, I know it's December already and you posted this in July, but have you figured out how to solve the problem? I had the same problem and managed to fix it.
