www.netbooknews.com When we first laid eye's on the ExoPC late night in a hotel room at Computex we knew the afterhours setting meant that we were getting our hands on something special. At the time we had little faith in Windows 7 tablets, actually that attitude hasn't changed, except when it comes to the ExoPC. I said it in June and I'll say it again, the ExoPC UI makes Windows 7 tablets viable. The UI is zen like in appearance with a series of circles, interacting with the 44 dots is almost like playing with bubble wrap, you just want to keep pressing them to see what happens. Lucky it comes with its own store and a flurry of applications so you won't easily get board and discover you are in fact in an empty ecosystem. Its capacitive touch screen is very responsive and offers the snappy experience we all look for in a tablet. If you would like to read my full review, the link is above.

Why are people only showing this tablet with that stupid skin running? The first thing I would do once I got this would be uninstall/disable that skin... Do you use a proprietary skin when you use a non touch Windows PC? Then why now? Because it has touch enabled you feel you MUST use it like an iPad... Please. This is a REAL PC. Not a big iPod. Use it as such. Why does no one fault the iPad for not being able to do Windows things like run full blown apps but all have issues with Tablet PC's..
@mkearley49 The guy who made this tablet lives in my city (Rimouski, Quebec, Canada). He did it all by himself. :P
My suspicion was justified. In December, I submitted for a refund on my Adam tablet. NI continually claimed they processed and American Express must be at fault. They also stated it takes weeks for American Express to process (BS). To date, NI has not bee compliant. Luckily, American Express Business Services offers great support and refunded me, while they are going after NI aggressively! The EXOPC I picked up at the Mission Viejo Store is great! The on-site customer service: awesome.
@Gweilojake ...GUESS WHAT...it ships Wednesday buddy! Check Engadget for proof. No IT company has US based support. It's all in India. I work in a server farm and that's all I get to talk to all day, so no big surprise there. I'm picking up what you're putting down (Translation: I understand, I agree, I get you) with the skepticism about the universal release. It happened with that shitty Tony Hawk game, for a reason, but Xoom is our failsafe, and if the Adam turns out to be bad ass...
great review! glad i found your uploads :D
@elukok you sir, are retarded.
:) You are Sexy .
@joshyboy82 +1000! adam is a 1000 times better!
@joshyboy82 Really?! As part of the " Notion Ink family" on the blog, I obtained a pre-order. After a failed countdown, failing web order $50 shipping, unannounced shipping delay (now 1/22), no US-based customer support, a weak warranty, a return and restocking fees over $185, a "revised" drive spec of "8Gig+", an unannounced removal of the track-pad, a revised decision to release the unit to the media at the same time as consumers. Oh yeah...they have not responded to my refund request.
@joshyboy82 4 hrs Battery? Gimme a break. I'll just use my phone. It needs to be functional. My laptop has a better battery life.
ExoPC < Notion Ink Adam
dammit i want it!!!!
@mkearley49 Its better then being American.
I bought an Exo (I am waiting for it) and I cannot see myself using the Exo Layer. It seems pointless.
@01iamaprofessional Being Canadian is no guarantee of success. Labatt Blue is Canadian.
@mkearley49 because they are a Canadian company i know they will succeed.
@01iamaprofessional How do you know that ? Do you know what level of financial and human resources they have ?
@mkearley49 they will follow through. they have 1000+ pre orders being shipped out and i know that they are a small company and are doing VERY well considering how new their company is.
@Vagran it will work with any pdf reader and anything made for windows 7. and it comes with a stylus.
@01iamaprofessional im using headphones :P and my netbook sounds EPIC :D to me anyway :P
@SahLehron it might be the camera. btw it has 2, 1.5 watt speakers. that is probably better than a netbook. if it is that bad to you, than buy headphones.
the audio is quite bad, my netbook sounds better than that
what the hardware on board the dual core atom
So can you basically install any program that is compatible with Windows 7? Like a PDF viewer? Also curious if the tablet will also work with a stylus as well as your finger.
thats a really cool product. and its also very sensitive to the touch......
