i like watching ur vids. i have same stove. can u tell me can u burn twigs in it use it as wood burning stove? also, how do u put tab out to save it 4 later? thx karen
@jinkjack i doubt that!
if you need this video then you must have learning problems
Good stove, but it leaves alot of gunk on your mess tin, it stinks, and it is a bitch to light :)
ow you should brerak it in half and with the left over water when u cook a rat pack use it for hot choclate
goin on camp with air cadets feild craft we get 24hr ration pack each day and 1 of these eah day
used these with the ACF. Very effective
You can also use round candles you know those little ones, with toillet paper and there you go, i use it also with my hexi burner and love it!!!!
One of these saved 'Andy McNabs' life!
if its wet and windy etc its much easier to light if u break the hexy blocks up
@soul843 Depending in what your cooking tbh
I think you should break the cube into 4 because they burn much easier..
@godie666 Thank you for your question, each block last for approximately 10 minutes there are 8 blocks which come with each cooker. Once you've run out of the blocks they can be purchased separately. Hope this helps.
how long does one of those blocks burn for?
use a mess tin, they fit the cooker properly. a small flat lid will boil water quicker, place boil in bag food in pan , when cooked, use the same water for your tea!,eat from bag.. no washing up , and it's efficient ! ;)
might sound like a dumb question but wht happens if the hexi blocks get wet do u have to wait for them to dry out ?
your not ment to use the whole block hahaha
I got one of these, great for survival, but the tablets absolutely stink, lol
Is the military's cooker a registered design? I ask because I don't see the side vents formed.
wow that was fast. im thinking of getting 1
To overcome the excess tablet burn, try cutting the hexi tab in half if you only want to boil the billy for a cuppa. Use a full tab if you are making a meal for yourself. Waste not, want not. (As a joker I know found out when he ran out of tabs one week in the bush! Hah!)
Damp in Britian? Lol! Try New Zealand in the Spring, and Winter!!!
I bought my Hexi from farside marketing, Excellent price and superb delivery. Highly recommended.
ebay dude
we use these on excersive in the army easy to easy especially with mess tins..
