Official Video of "Imagine" by KIWI Video directed by Jay Jasper Pugao * THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT Imagine is a Hip Hop music video I directed and organized for KIWI in 2007. It was a project ignited by Locus Arts' called Do It Yourself project that teamed local musicians and filmmakers to create a music video from scratch. No funds, no technical support, and no team. Within 4 weeks, we created, built a family, and made a music video that can be used to inspire and educate our young leaders on visualizing and creating a more productive and positive future. Inspired by Kiwi's music, I was given the freedom to create the visual story rooted from what fuels Kiwi and all our other artist and activist friends. They continue to do their work and are powered by the pursuit of justice, solidarity, health, and equality for all. I requested and recruited friends and community artists, educators and musicians, martial artists, organizers, activists, proud parents and their babies to assist in the production. I realized then how blessed I am to be in this community as folks came out in the rain, 'borrowed' equipment for me, brought food, coffee, vegan pastries, provided their facilities, and shared stories and laughs. Knowing no one is getting paid folks enthusiastically jumped behind and in front of the camera to shine like the sun amidst the pouring rain. True talent.
