Hector J Robinson Observatory dedication of new equipment and setup. Grant provided by Toshiba was awarded to the Lincoln Park School system to restore the observatory providing new equipment. FAAC Ford Amateur Astronomy Club has provided great support and will continue to provide technical support for running the observatory for the local school system and community. Here several FAAC club members surround the observatory with telescopes many which are setup to do solar viewing. For an guy who likes astronomy it's like being in telescope gadget heaven. Just hanging out, talking to many there and discussing their various setups. Being a old guy who was once a kid involved in this observatory 32 years ago, while in the LP Astronomy club which was in old Huff Jr. High, this was a very exciting day. I've seen many sights through the old telescope which is now removed and will be in the LP Museum. The new telescope will provide so much more flexibility and having the FAAC club involved is a huge advantage for those in school interested in checking out the observatory and learning a bit about astronomy or science.
